After installing the Griggs equipment, (see the Griggs section) my previous exhaust system was useless. I knew this would be the case, and fortunately, I had done my research ahead of time. A local shop made me a custom 3" Xpipe, onto which I put some 3" Magnaflow mufflers. I must say, this is the quietest my car has been in some time, and the best flowing exhaust I have ever had on it. For those not familiar, the Magnaflow is a straight-through design, very similar to the Race Magnums from Dynomax. The tone is LOW LOW LOW! A very nice rumble, and for the first time, I have no drone at any RPM. I also had them lob the restricting ball flange off the BBK 1 3/4 headers, to give it a straight through flow. This was my ONLY beef with these headers, and now that problem is 100% gone. I cannot recommend these headers enough to a 351w swap into a Fox-3 chassis.

Here is a pic of the new alternator from Beavco in IL. While the 130A 2G unit was very nice, it wasn't spinning quite fast enough at idle, even with the small pulley, to keep the battery charged with the fans and everything running. No problems going down the road at all, but I am in search of no problems, under any circumstances. Glen at Beavco was very accomodating, and just happens to also make a 200A (honkin) 3G alternator. I traded the 130A back to him, layed out a little more cash, and ended up with a supreme charging system, even with the underdrives. Glen @Beavco can be reached at 888-384-7430 for questions or orders.
